Live School Board Meetings

School Board meetings to be broadcast live online starting Dec. 13
Posted on 12/05/2018

There is a new way for you to stay connected to the Portsmouth School Board. Starting Dec. 13, live meetings can be watched online at http://ppsk12.us/schoolboardlive.

Watch Live

You are always welcome to attend the twice-a-month meetings held on the sixth floor of the City Hall building in downtown Portsmouth. But if you cannot attend, you can now watch the meeting as it takes place from the comfort of your home, on a computer or mobile device.

We want the community to be informed about school business. That is why we are making it easier and more convenient for you to stay connected to us.

The school division has teamed up with Swagit, a national digital broadcasting company on this important project.

After the live video stream ends, an archived version will be available the next day in the School Board’s online repository called BoardDocs. You can find BoardDocs at http://ppsk12.us/school-board. The archived video will synchronize with BoardDocs so that you can follow each agenda item along with the recording. Watch the entire thing, or just a snippet.

Due to the scheduling requirements, live broadcasts may not be available during special called meetings or off-site meetings.

Additionally, recorded meetings are available on our educational TV Station Channel 47 (Cox) and Channel 40 (Verizon). Here’s the schedule:

Regular Meetings - Fridays 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Work Sessions - Wednesdays 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 7 p.m., also Sundays 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 7 p.m.

Latest School Board Meetings - Mondays and Saturdays 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 7 p.m.

Finally, you also can watch recorded meetings on our YouTube channel.

We look forward to staying connected so that you will remain informed about school business and matters of the School Board.
